What is Docs Talks?

Dear doctoral candidates,

how do you define "culture"?

During winter term 2014/15 and summer term 2015 CAU PhD candidates had the possibility to present their research topics to a public audience in the context of an intercultural lecture series called "Docs Talks". Its great success generated the plan to repeat "Docs Talks" in winter term 2016.

Against the background of actual political developments "Docs Talks" will get a new face. It will enable PhD candidates to either present their home culture or a foreign culture they are interested in or working about and to transmit their intercultural experiences by transferring active knowledge to various audiences. This could be cultural role models, perspectives or even recommendation for cultural events. You can decide individually what culture means to you and what aspects of it you want to convey.

Are you interested in joining "Docs Talks"? Please send an e-mail to docstalks@gz.uni-kiel.de!

We are looking forward to meet you!
