New, time limited and complex – such are the tasks generally undertaken as projects. A work environment without project and team work is almost unimaginable nowadays. And this is not only true for the non-academic sector.
Proven project management and leadership tools pave the way for the professional development and planning of projects, for competent guiding of their implementation and for their successful completion. With their help even difficult steps in the project journey can be safely navigated and team dynamics can be optimized. ‘Lateral guidance’ and ‘bottom-up’ leadership techniques contribute to the success of cooperation with colleagues, bosses and supervisors.
During the workshop the participants familiarise themselves with a number of select project management, team work & leadership methods.

*: Professor Dr. ès sc. habil. Alexander Schiller, Jena, is a “Juniorprofessor” for inorganic chemistry at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. His research interest is biomimetic signal transduction with inorganic models. Currently he holds a Heisenberg fellowship of the German Science Foundation [DFG]. He broadened his portfolio in 2012 with the project “Schiller & Mertens” and teaches advanced research skills: communication in science, team and leadership competences and methodology of higher education didactics. As an active researcher and group leader he knows the challenges of early-career scientists exactly.
