This event is aimed for doctoral candidates of all faculties.

Learning objectivess:

Learners have an idea of the general concept of RDM and know important related terms, learners know and can describe the research data lifecycle, learners can describe what types of data exist, know/can identify data formats, learners can describe the FAIR-prinicples, learners know what a DMP is, learners can explain what metadata is, learners know the requirements of funders and RDM related CAU contacts.

Workshop description:

The workshop provides a cross-disciplinary introduction to the basics of research data management (RDM) and familiarizes participants with the most important terms, models and processes associated with it. After an overview of the most important measures for the strategic design of RDM, participants will know the components of a data management along the Research Data Lifecycle. Participants will be informed about the requirements of research funders and the support services offered by CAU's central research data management will be presented. The workshop is held in cooperation between CAU's central research data management and the Graduate Center.

Registration:

Registrations are welcome 24 October 2021 via our online portal. We will then determine whether the minimum number of 4 participants has been reached. Should the minimum number of participants not have been reached, the event will not take place due to financial reasons. Once the minimum number of participants has been reached, further registrations are possible until 8 days previous to the beginning of the event.

Please note:

There are 16 places on this course. The persons that can participate in the course will receive an e-mail from the Graduate Center. Without this confirmation mail you cannot participate in the course. Only participants that have registered for the course via the Graduate Center will receive a certificate of attendance.

All further registrations will be placed on a waiting list. As soon as there is a free place on the course you will receive a message from us. If you do not receive any message you cannot participate in this course.
